Many of our staff members are active participants in community fundraising initiatives, and we always like to support their efforts. Our VP Account management Carol Hill, along with her son Alex, recently ran her first 5k race: the “Sassquad Trail Runners Onesie 5k” .
This family-oriented running group raises funds for local organizations, and has the philosophy “where every event is a Trail party”. The beneficiary of this particular run was the New York New Jersey Trail Conference this is a 100% volunteer organization based in Mahwah NJ. Over 80 runners of all ages (from 9 months to 87 years) joined in the fun on Saturday February 15.
Alex was the winner of the best Onesie Award. He ran/walked the 5k in 39:39, coming in 55th place, whilst Carol came in 70th with a time of 47:03. They had a blast and are looking forward to their next event – May’s Doggie Dash along with cSubs’ favorite therapy dog Ruby!
The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is a volunteer-powered organization that builds, maintains, and protects public trails. Together with our partners, we strive to ensure that the trails and natural areas we share are sustainable and accessible for all to enjoy for generations to come.
